When am I charged?
You are charged the moment you confirm Basic checkout — Stripe authorizes $10 immediately, and the same day every month thereafter. The Free tier never involves payment. You will receive an emailed receipt within minutes of each successful charge.
What is the refund policy?
We offer a no-questions-asked refund within 7 days of your first Basic charge. Email support and we will process the reversal through Stripe, usually visible on your card statement within 5–10 business days. After 7 days, you can still cancel at any time — you keep access until the end of the paid period, but the partial month is not refunded.
How do I cancel?
Go to Account → Subscriptions, click Cancel, confirm. No retention calls, no friction forms. Your access continues until the last day of the current billing cycle, and we do not bill you again. You can re-subscribe anytime; your account and bookmarks stay intact.
Can I switch between Free and Basic?
Yes, either direction. Upgrading Free → Basic is immediate — every locked article unlocks within seconds of Stripe confirming the charge. Downgrading Basic → Free happens at the end of your current paid period. No proration, no upgrade/downgrade fees, no gotchas.
How do I update my card or billing info?
Account → Billing → Update payment method. The form is hosted directly by Stripe, so your card number never touches our server. We support Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover. Failed renewals get one retry after 48 hours before access suspends.
Do you offer business or team accounts?
Not yet — the MVP ships with individual accounts only. A seat-based business plan is on the Q3 roadmap. If you need multiple seats today, email

Student discount?
We honor a 50% student discount on Basic with a valid .edu email. Sign up at Basic, then email your .edu address from your account — we apply the discount code to your next renewal. Must re-verify annually.
